On this page we will add information that will help you support and manage your child’s iPad.
Screen Time
Parents can configure a child’s iPad using the screen time setting so that the operating system will help manage the amount of time they can use the device.
This allows you to set certain restrictions such as, app blocking, moderate content filtering, and iPad downtime. These are all things we manage while the children are in school through classroom management techniques and the school management system. Unfortunately, these do not work at home.
When configuring this setting, please make sure you note the following:
- Make sure you use a passcode you will remember. If you forget this, we have to reset the device which will erase all work stored on the iPad.
- If you block certain apps, please make sure this setting does not impact student learning.
- Ensure anyone supervising your child’s online learning is aware of the passcode so they can disable this setting if needed. This makes sure your child’s education is not impacted.
