1-to-1 Program

The 1-to-1 Program is an exciting part of the school that enhances all subject areas and aligns with The ISF’s Mission, Vision & Values, STEM initiatives, and curriculum.

The use of technology prepares our students for future excellence and the world they will enter while facilitating authentic and personalized learning opportunities.

Please read through the content shared here to help you understand how the 1-to-1 program works, what type of equipment we support, and how to purchase devices for your child.

  • Pre-K to Grades 2: Students use school-provided devices.
  • Grades 3-to-5: Students use a personally owned iPad.
  • Grades 6-to-12: Students use a personally owned laptop.

2024-25 Device Information Live Stream for Parents – 18th April 2024

  • 2024-25 iPad and Laptop Parent Information Session (YouTube Live Stream).
    • Join Ryan KRAKOFSKY and Sean MORAN as they review the model iPads and laptops on offer for the 2024-25 school year.
    • The presentation will be a recorded live stream. You can watch the presentation live during the live stream or afterward using the link above.
    • Before the live stream, Grade 2 and 5 parents will receive an email with the link.

New Families

  • Please review the information on the iPad and Laptop purchasing pages.
  • If you join The ISF at the start of a new academic year, you can purchase your device between April and June.
  • If you join The ISF mid-year, you can buy your device anytime. Please view the iPad Program and Laptop Program pages for specific details.

Existing Families

  • If you need to purchase a replacement device or want to upgrade your child’s device, please review the information on the iPad Program and Laptop Program purchasing pages.
  • You can buy a device anytime during the school year.

Purchasing iPads and Laptops

  • iPads and laptops can be purchased through our partner, Senco-Masslink Technology Ltd. Please visit the following pages for additional details.

Software

  • Most software is provided to your children as part of their school package. However, some specialty courses require the purchase of additional software to support lesson objectives and learning goals. One example is Adobe Creative Cloud. Please view the following page for further details.

Apple iPads and Laptops

  • After carefully considering the different computer and tablet models available, Apple is the school’s preferred brand for the 1-to-1 Program. Apple laptops and iPads are durable and accessible for novice users while powerful enough for advanced users. The App Store has a vast selection of high-quality education apps, and Apple offers a robust warranty program, AppleCare+, to help during accidents.

Windows Laptops

  • We support a family that wishes to provide their child with a Windows laptop. Please read the Laptop Program page to learn the minimum specifications for Windows computers.
