Laptop Drop-Off Procedure

If you decide to have your child use a family-owned laptop (Apple or Windows), it must be configured for school use. Please review the following information.

All laptops must be configured and registered for use on the school network.

Configuration and Registration of Your Laptop

To have a laptop configured for the school network and printers, it must be brought to the IT Help Desk in Charles Kao Square (CKS) located on the ground floor of the Secondary School.

The IT Help Desk staff will assist with installing the school’s printer system and add the student WiFi to the laptop.

  • To perform this task, the user account must have local admin permissions.
  • The information needed is:
    • Username
    • Password

If you, the parent, decide you do not want your child to have admin permissions on their laptop, please coordinate with the IT Department by emailing them and providing them with the details necessary to make changes to the computer.

Alternatively, you can stop by the IT Help Desk in CKS with the laptop and work with them directly.

Depending on the availability of support and the time of year, be aware it might take up to one full working day for the laptop to be configured.

For the 2024-25 school year, laptops can be brought to the IT Help Desk from Tuesday, 13th of August.
