Moodle

Resources for Learning

These four resources are part of the core tools supporting education and learning goals,

Moodle

The ISF uses blended learning to enhance course content and learning objectives which means we use technology and digital content to enhance learning. We use Moodle as our virtual learning environment (VLE) to share learning resources and allow students to turn work in. Moodle can be accessed from any web-enabled device.

PowerSchool

PowerSchool is our student information system. Teachers use it to record work and track student attendance and progress. Students and teachers can see their timetable. Parents use it to sign up for activities and see their child’s school reports.

Google

Every student, teacher, and administrator is given a G-Suite for Education account. This grants access to Google Docs, a powerful online office suite that allows for anywhere-anytime work and collaboration between people.

Technology

Across all grade levels we use a variety of devices to support students and teachers as they engage in learning. From Pre-school to Grade 2 students use school provided tablets to engage with information, stories, and other learning resources. For Grades 3 to 5 we have our 1-to-1 iPad program, where students purchase and use their own iPad to support personalized learning and to deepen their ability to engage with content. For Grades 6 to 12 we have our 1-to-1 Laptop program, where students purchase and use their own laptop to further their learning journey.
